Where to start your search for a bridal gown
By admin at January 2, 2010 | 7:39 pm | 2 Comments
Often times, the best way to start your search for a wedding gown is by looking around at some wedding dresses, and getting an idea of the fashions out there today, the styles, the colors, and what you would like, and envision.
Keep in mind, this is a very loose-ended process, as a certain gown may not quite be flattering on your body, so keep in mind and be aware of what normally looks good on you. I’ve seen many times brides with no hips trying to pull off a mermaid cut which usually leaves the bride looking not too flattering. Normally, a bride with more curvaceous hips would look better with a mermaid.
Anyways, so look around online and get an idea of what’s out there. After you’ve found some styles you like, take them to your local gown designer and let them know what you envision. Most outstanding designers will work with you and get you looking just the way you envisioned and the most flattering for you.

Wedding Chapel

Browsing around I came upon the Albertson Wedding Chapel. Wondered if anyone has been married here? http://www.wednow.net/
Seeing as I have not, I can only speak about what I saw on their website. Based on that, here is what I noticed.
First, their website is pretty easy to read, attractive to see, clear bright colors, easy text. They have their phone number at the top and the “hablamos espanol” to capture that latin audience.
Their front Image (slightly shrunk to fit on here down below)…
is quite nice. Makes the venue seem happy and colorful. They are located near Beverly Hills, perhaps I will try to make some time this weekend to check it out. (So many things that I already have to do! grr) Anyways, they say they offer fresh flowers decor with every ceremony, and have been featured in CNN, ABC, Style, and the Knot Best of Weddings.
They have a nice gallery of their place here: http://www.wednow.net/chapel.html
Only downside from what I can tell is the venue is awfully small, which would explain the lower prices.
So basically, if you’re looking for something small, for say a quick wedding, and near Beverly Hills, this might be the place.
I, myself, prefer a larger wedding, with full decor, so I’d have to say I’d keep looking around. Anyways, anyone in here been married here and would like to comment about the chapel?

I was recently looking around on google and found this website:
http://www.weddingsolutions.com/Los_Angeles_Wedding_Dress.htm
They have several Wedding Dress Designers all over the U.S. including some that are local to Los Angeles. Make sure you check them out.
One problem about their site is that they don’t make it too easy to find out local wedding dresses, or wedding shops. So you sort of have to click around in their site to find what you’re looking for. Ultimately, I’ll have better research on here to help all of you find the best in wedding dresses in Los Angeles. But for now, hold on and keep looking!
Best of luck!
